Mansoor bin Mohammed attends The Hope Run in support of The Child Fund
Charitable event organised by Al Jalila Foundation in collaboration with Dubai Healthcare City Authority
Mansoor bin Mohammed: The event reflects community solidarity and highlights the vital role of sports in advancing health and charitable initiatives, in line with the Year of Community 2025
Dubai Islamic Bank made a generous donation of AED 10 million
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee, and Vice Chairman of Dubai Health Board of Directors, attended The Hope Run, a charitable event organised by Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health, in collaboration with the Dubai Healthcare City Authority and with the support of the Dubai Sports Council.
Held at the Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2 Promenade (Al Jaddaf), the event attracted over 1,500 participants, including 300 children, who ran distances ranging from 1 to 3 kilometres. The Hope Run was organised in support of The Child Fund, an initiative of Al Jalila Foundation dedicated to providing specialised medical care to children in need.
Distinguished attendees included His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council; His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council; Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health; Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, along with Mohammad Musabeh Dhahi, CEO of Charitable Work Sector at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Allae Omar Almanini, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Healthcare City Authority and Hind Nasser, Community Services Specialist at Dubai Islamic Bank.
Community solidarity
On the sidelines of the event, Dubai Islamic Bank generously donated AED10 million to support The Child Fund, further demonstrating the spirit of community solidarity.
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee, and Vice Chairman of Dubai Health Board of Directors praised the efforts of all participants and supporters of The Hope Run, highlighting the event’s significance, stating: “The Hope Run exemplifies the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Community 2025. Sports have the power to strengthen social bonds and foster collective action. Today’s event is a remarkable demonstration of our commitment to nurturing future generations by ensuring they receive the healthcare they deserve.”
Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, emphasised the initiative’s alignment with Dubai Health’s Patient First promise, adding: “The Hope Run symbolises the integration of healthcare and community engagement, empowering individuals to take an active role in supporting children’s health through compassionate and comprehensive care.”
Launched in November 2023 in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, The Child Fund aims to treat over 3,000 cases annually at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, utilising the latest technologies and world-class medical expertise.
