March 2018

March started with World Hearing Day on the 3rd and we are delighted to share another success story of one of the programs closest to our heart Ana Asma’a. Shaping the Future of Medical Research, Together

February 2018

Team Al Jalila started the new year with a spring in our step as we prepared for the annual edition of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon. We were overwhelmed with the unprecedented number of individuals across the UAE dedicating their run to Al Jalila Foundation to help us transform lives. I was delighted to participate in the Dubai Health Forum and the opportunity to continue the discussion around mental health and the importance of research in the UAE, taking a step further to reduce stigma and end discrimination against people with mental.

Ear of Zayed Honours the Legacy of Philanthropy

January 2018

The Year of Giving catapulted philanthropy in the UAE to another level and yielded valuable partnerships united in the goal to transform lives. As we welcome the Year of Zayed we are excited to see this continue to grow as we honour the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father and the values that continue to guide us: wisdom, respect, sustainability and human development. Through our commitment to local medical research, we aim to continue the work of Sheikh Zayed who made incredible investments in healthcare in the UAE that transformed the quality of life.

Spreading Hope to the Nation

December 2017

3 December marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities and we are proud that the UAE continues to make great leaps in inclusiveness by drawing out the best in People of Determination. A number of our healthcare programs, including Ta’alouf, focus on empowering people of determination and earlier this year we were honoured to receive the Princess Haya Award for Special Education. Sport is a great way to engage the community and this year’s 7EmiratesRun drew overwhelming participation honouring UAE National Day whilst.

United in Health for a Brighter Tomorrow

November 2017

As another action packed Breast Cancer Awareness Month draws to an end we would like to thank all our partners, supporters and the community for coming together in solidarity for a cause that affects millions of women around the world. Together we celebrate another record breaking #PINKtober with over 100 events ranging from school pink days, sports events, corporate health days, hospitality campaigns and many more community lead activities. Once again we have witnessed the UAE’s philanthropic spirit that enables us to continue the work we do.

Embracing the ‘Gift Of Giving’

October 2017

Al Jalila Foundation is delighted to bring you our inaugural newsletter Hadeyat Al Ata’a, the Gift of Giving in Arabic, to keep you informed of the work we do and the people we serve. The ‘Year of Giving’ is testament to the UAE’s philanthropic spirit and a wonderful example of the power our collective  efforts have to serve humanity. It is heartening to see the nation come together inspired to create a better world for future generations. Our success depends on the support we receive from our donors, partners and the community. With your generosity.
